Deborah Benbrook is a self taught photographic artist from Leeds, West Yorkshire. She believes that being self taught gives her the advantage over other photographers because ‘it broadens the mind, you learn through experience and you’re allowed to experiment, rather than being told how things should be done.’
She uses a full-frame professional digital camera, which produces images to rival any film camera. She does not like to spend hours manipulating images.
Deborah doesn’t believe a picture should be accompanied by the usual arty clap trap about why the picture was taken or what it means; a good picture speaks a thousand words by itself and that is what she believes she produces.
Deborah is now back packing around the world, catch up with her on the travel blog
